Reiki helps residents relax
Remember there’s no such thing as a small act of kindness. Every act creates a ripple with no logical end
Scott Adams
Lead Resident Liaison Officer Adam Berry also happens to be a qualified Reiki Practitioner. So residents at Black Friars tower block, where Adam is currently working are to benefit from free Reiki Healing sessions to help them cope with the works.
The idea came to Adam whilst he and Site Manager Ian McCune planned how they would deal with the temporary decanting of residents whilst the asbestos removal works are taking place in their homes. The residents will have to be out of their homes for a full day. Whilst the Respite Flat is always available with a TV, DVD’s, tea, coffee and refreshments, Adam thought he could go the extra mile to help residents deal with the disruption.
After carrying out a brief survey of what residents wanted to do, it was clear that the Reiki sessions would be a big hit. So Adam has created a leaflet to go out to all residents offering the free one hour sessions.
