Garry’s gymnastics save the day

Remember there’s no such thing as a small act of kindness. Every act creates a ripple with no logical end

The Emanuel Whittaker site team working on the Duchy estate have become the ‘go to’ team when residents need a helping hand. This time it was Resident Liaison Officer Garry Holt who was asked by elderly neighbour Pam at Enville Road to help her out.

She had inadvertently left her house without her front door key, and was effectively locked out. Although she had a back door key in her handbag, she also had a six foot garden fence which she had no hope of scaling!

So it was Garry who came to her rescue. Pam flagged Garry down whilst he was carrying out his routine visits and asked him if he could help. Garry managed to climb over the fence and let himself in using the back door key. Before too long, Pam was back at home and very grateful that she hadn’t had to call out a locksmith.
